Roberts Elementary has a very diverse group of students. Countries from all over the world are represented in the Roberts population! The Gifted and Talented Department wanted to explore this diversity and ask students to research a country that they are interested in or that is the country of origin for that student.
Students researched to learn all about the country’s language, government, culture, size, terrain, climate, and much more. They put this information into a slideshow to share with others and are making informational boxes, brochures, flags, and maps about their country.
Students are also comparing the country they are researching to the United States and pretending to be a tourist in the country recording in a travel journal.
Students will be making a product to represent their county and will be displaying some of their artifacts at Roberts World Fest. They are very excited to share what they’ve learned with visitors! Don’t miss their presentations at the school gymnasium, starting at 11 a.m. at the beginning of the festival.
